"I have trained and taught under and beside Master Thac for over 18 years. Master Thac teaches nothing but excellence in the art of Taekwondo. His knowledge and expertise goes beyond any master, instructor, teach in the art/sport of Tae Kwon Do. He teaches nothing less than perfection but expects nothing more than the fact that you just give your best effort.
Master Thac is devoted to teaching, educating and spreading the word about the art of Taekwondo. His devotion dates back to the early age of 5 when he began training. His devotion to the art over so many years has earned him the title of the youngest person to receive a 7th degree black belt in Taekwondo from both The World Han Moo Kwan and Moo Duk Kwan. He also received his master instructor license Kukkiwon, world Taekwondo headquarters. However, his devotion to the art goes beyond Taekwondo as he teaches all his students to be better person not only in the art but also in society.
Master Thac takes has tremendous pride in his teaching of the art of Taekwondo. He exemplifies excellence and takes much pride in leading by example. All his students, including myself, look up to him in his vast knowledge of Taekwondo. Master Thac takes a lot of pride in making sure all his students learn and perfect their techniques and skills.

A rare breed of Taekwondo masters
"Grandmaster Thac has been devoted his entire life to TKD meerly for the love of it. He possessed a rare combination of sparring and poomsae skills, which made him one of the top Grandmaster around. Not to mention the youngest Grandmaster ever granted by both Han Moo Kwan and Moo Duk Kwan, which are two out of the three biggest schools in South Korea. His TKD skills along with the passion for teaching that has made him a great teacher and mentor. I have known Grandmaster Thac for nearly 20 years, and he's a first class citizen and a great family man. The term "practice what you preach" is an understatement when it comes to describing Grandmaster Thac's teaching philosophy. Students from Blue Dragon TKD not only excel in martial arts but also in academic as well. A large number of his students are either graduated or currently attending California's top public universities speaks for itself. One regret I have is that my son can no longer attend Blue Dragon TKD because we've moved out of the Bay area. I would whole-heartedly recommend Blue Dragon TKD for family with young kids and adults without any reservation.

"As a mother of 2 children, it has always been a challenge to find time to work out or stay in shape. With my busy schedule of trying to run a business, along with raising a family, I never had the time to think about my health or make a change to be in better physical shape. Then I discovered Blue Dragon Taekwondo Academy and met one of the most respected instructors of Taekwondo, Grandmaster Thac Nguyen.
Through his many years of experience in martial arts and advanced knowledge of teaching, I’ve learned so many new things. First of all, I never knew how effective Taekwondo is for losing weight! I received compliments all the time on how great I looked. Not only did I feel better about myself, but I also had more energy to get things done throughout the day and still go home and have energy for my children.
I didn’t have any background in martial arts at all and did not know what to expect from the classes. I was afraid of failing and not being able to keep up, but Master Nguyen had the most patience and was very supportive the whole way. He allowed me to go at my own pace and taught me more than just the physical part of Taekwondo. I use to think martial arts was just an aggressive sport of fighting. It’s more than that – it’s a way of life. I learned a sense of balance and self-discipline through his teachings. I made changes in my lifestyle, improved my ways of thinking, and gained much more self-confidence. He even taught me techniques of self-defense in real-life situations.

Their classes are very flexible and are just the right size so you can receive personalized training. Blue Dragon has a remarkable facility filled with the latest equipment and operated by a very professional staff.
